Downloaded the latest version of Elive --> http://www.elivecd.org/ to take Topaz for a spin liked it so much that I ended up changing all but two of my computers in my network over!!!!
First things first The Live CD/USB
The startup music completely sets the satge for a very sleek cool desktop manager.
My eeepc booted up extremely fast using the Live USB stick.Flawless
This brought my little eeepc back to life. My sound and video works flawlessly now.
It occurred to me one day that the free software development model is easily likened to a rushing river. Not just a stream or calm and gently flowing river but a raging rapids. It takes a lot of turmoil and effort to create quality code in an open manner and maintain a respectable amount of forward momentum.
As people improve the code they add to the overall speed that the water reaches people. People can then use it in their everyday lives to accomplish things that they need to.
I have heard so many people wax eloquent about the Free Software community over the years now it is my turn. :D
Warning: Some of the following thoughts may contain sarcasm, cinematic creative paint spillage and partial truth exposure.
There seem to be three major points of view on the subject. (I am rounding down for the sake of whatever...)
Lathiests: The Linux community does not exist. If it does they are a bunch of really mean geeks that have a sick sense of humor and when I die I expect to find them..... uh you get the gist.
So many people seems to be looking for the secrets to unlock the earning potential for social media marketing. There are even more people willing to sell you the secrets with an added bonus that it comes with a bridge. If that does not convience you then you are lost forever because it is a one time opportunity that has limited slots and there are only enough slots left for as many people as you can sign up right now!!!
